Artificial intelligence is now making headlines in the gaming sector as well and the latest news comes from Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, who reveals the next generation of generative AI with (Non Playable Characters) NPC intelligence in GTA 6. Yes, you read that right, GTA 6 NPCs are going to have their own dynamic storylines and will respond to your in-game interactions much more intelligently than ever.
During an interview with Inverse, Zelnick commented, “Everyone’s working on that. You’re a playable character, you’re interacting with the non-playable character. That interaction is currently scripted. And the non-playable characters are generally not very interesting. You could imagine all the NPCs becoming really interesting and fun.”
Upon asking about other GTA 6 details, Strauss did not reveal much and else commented, “I can confirm that Rockstar is working on the next iteration of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. More than that comes from Rockstar.”
The implementation of AI can enhance the overall game details with much more to do in the open world. We can hope for better traffic flows, intelligent police chase, more gangster fun, and above all, much better in-game character details. But it is important to mention that only the official release of the trailer and the Rockstar Games themselves can reveal the other rumors about GTA 6 such as two playable protagonists – Jason and Lucia.
The rumor grounds are hotter than ever as leakers propose many new additions to GTA 6 such as an auto-dialer, a pool cue, and a variety of golf clubs like a driver, putter, wedge, and iron. Players could also have a crowbar and a cut-off tool for unlocking chained doors, fences, and containers.
