Lenovo Introduces ThinkStation P8, the Workstation With AMD Ryzen Threadripper and Nvidia RTX

Lenovo unveils its latest innovation, the ThinkStation P8, a cutting-edge workstation designed for professionals. It seeks to provide optimal performance in enterprise-grade workloads, including real-time graphical work and AI applications. 

Lenovo ThinkStation P8 – The Spec Sheet

The Thinkstation P8 stands out with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 WX-Series CPU based on the advanced 5nm Zen 4 architecture. It features up to 86 cores and 192 threads, coupled with an impressive clock speed of up to 5.3GHz. The latest Thinkstation P8 tower workstation from Lenovo offers users the flexibility to choose between powerful GPU configurations. Opting for Nvidia, users can equip the P8 with up to three Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada GPUs or up to four Nvidia RTX A4000 GPUs.

Alternatively, for AMD enthusiasts, the P8 provides the option of integrating the formidable AMD Radeon Pro W7900 graphics card or selecting up to four AMD Radeon Pro W7600 GPUs.

The ThinkStation P8 excels not only in processing power but also in memory and storage capabilities. No Limitations  of Connectivity

At the front, users have convenient access to an audio combo jack, along with two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 optional ports, enhancing accessibility. The rear panel of the workstation features a comprehensive array of fixed ports, comprising two USB-A 2.0, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2. One 10GbE Ethernet port, one GbE Ethernet port, and both audio line in and audio line out interfaces.

The integration of the AMD Radeon Pro W7900 GPU further elevates the capabilities of the ThinkStation P8. This powerful graphics card enables support for an impressive output configuration, including up to 12K resolution at 120Hz, a single 8K output, two 6K outputs, or the simultaneous operation of four 4K outputs.
