Silent Hill 2 Trailer – Fans Not Impressed, Demand More from Developers

The State of Play 2024 has left everyone amazed, while some are left disappointed! The new game trailers such as Death Stranding 2 and Silent Hill 2 sparked new discussions across the gaming world, with fans wanting more. Yes, the DS2 trailer looks different and promises new horizons to explore but on the Silent Hill 2 side, things are a bit mixed. Have a look at it and we will continue it afterward.

Silent Hill 2 Early Impressions – Let’s Break it Down

To speak of legacy, Silent Hill is one of the best survival horror games that fans loved and the second installment in the series is something already bigger in the genre. But here’s a twist, the new Silent Hill 2 trailer seems like a misstep. But still, it’s too early to say anything as only a 94-second footage doesn’t reveal much, or does it? The developers behind the reveal, Bloober Team, said that the game will come with new changes. But looks like the changes didn’t seem to be going well so far, or the Studio might have forgotten the legacy of the original. Still, these are early days and we are as curious as you are for the end-product.

The community is not happy with the camera, lighting, and animations. This dissatisfaction is even more noticeable considering the current era of great game remakes like Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Persona 3, and Metroid Prime. Comparisons to the original Silent Hill 2 have already been made, and although they show significant changes, people are still expressing disappointment. Even comments on Reddit and other platforms reflect the overall sentiment that the project seems to be low-budget.

The Positives

You will see the comparison videos on YouTube as people have started comparing the gameplay just from a 92-second Silent Hill 2 trailer with the original. Well, they have a complete right to do so. Konami trusts the Bloober Team on this and so should we, it is still in development and has the potential to take over all these critics with a bang.
